Seattle Sounders At Portland Timbers

Seattle Sounders at Portland Timbers

Friday, May 11, 2007

Bryan Jordan scored his second goal of the season, but it was his first in a league match. He scored another goal earlier on but a bogus call saw the goal wiped off of the board. The referee had said that Jordan had handled the ball. All replays of the play have shown otherwise. Andrew Gregor notched his third goal of the season on a penalty kick later on. Their goals helped the Timbers earn a point in the I-5 rivalry match. The bad call by the referee was not the only bad call or non call of the match. There was several elbows thrown, a kick to the face of a player, or a player being taking down inside of the box.
The match saw the return of Hugo Alcarez-Cuellar, a long-time Timbers player.
